The ICRC has several Rosters and Pools for different professions. To join an ICRC Roster and Pool, we will assess your expertise and professional experience against the below-mentioned criteria and invite you for an online technical test. Once you have passed the test, you will join the specific ICRC Roster and Pool. As soon as we have a suitable vacancy, we will actively reach out to you, discuss the position, your interest, and availability. 

About the job 

For our People & Culture Team, we are looking for HR professionals and generalists. An HR Officer manages all aspect of the staffing and employment process, including workforce planning, recruitment and selection, contract management, onboarding, learning and development, administration, staff engagement, separation, and exit. The HR Officer advises, guides, and supports employees and line managers in all HR and People Management. 

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Act as a focal point for general HR and people management matters
• Support and advise line managers in workforce planning-related matters
• Lead recruitment and selection activities in close collaboration with hiring managers and the talent attraction and talent acquisition team 
• Carry out administrative tasks, including the preparation of employment contracts
• Ensure that new employees are onboarded, welcomed, and well-integrated
• Ensure that staff regulation, HR policies, and procedures are applied correctly and in compliance with Ukrainian labor law 
• Provide support to line managers and employees in performance management matters, learning and development, and staff engagement
• Handle employee grievances and disciplinary outcomes within the provisions of staff regulations and labor laws, 
• Participate actively in conflict-solving and team building ad 
• Lead or support new HR projects or initiates

About you

To be successful in this Roster and Pool recruitment, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:   

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• High school or professional diploma
• Between one and five years of experience in HR or a similar field
• Good command (written and spoken) of English and Ukrainian
• Computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Ukrainian labor law
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles.
