Project Assistant (Kyiv or Kharkiv)
BACKGROUND
HELVETAS is the largest Swiss nongovernmental organization with a dual mandate for long term development and humanitarian response. It has been present in Ukraine for several years implementing development projects mainly through local partners.
During 2022 HELVETAS initiated emergency assistance. We are building our operational presence to respond comprehensively to the current humanitarian crisis. HELVETAS plans to be active in Ukraine for the next 5 years.

Duty Station: Kyiv / Kharkiv
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The position holder works under the direction of the Country Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the Helvetas program team and partners on the implementation of all VET activities under the ERP project
- Support monitoring and learning activities of the ERP project
- Provide recommendations for expansion of VET supporting activities (especially related to skills development and increase of employability).
- Facilitate relations with stakeholders relevant to the implementation of the ERP project
- Prepare and deliver presentations on VET and other activities of the ERP project
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to travel (approx. 20-30% of work time) to project locations (mainly Kharkiv)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong computer skills in MS Office programs
- Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail
- Good oral and written English skills
- Ukrainian citizenship

Initial consultancy contract (PE/FOP) for 6 months with perspective to shift to staff contract
