The International Charitable Foundation «Alliance for Public Health» is a leading non-governmental professional organization which makes a significant impact on the epidemics of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other socially dangerous diseases in Ukraine.

PURPOSE: to provide effective management of Protection, GBV, MEAL Unit and coordinate project activities. The Project Manager is responsible for implementation of Project’s day-to-day activities, including line management of project team staff and budget control.  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant University degree (Public Health, Social Work, Medicine, Management etc.).
  • Strong understanding of protection principles, international standards, and best practices related to case management, GBV, and disability inclusion.
  • Experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities, including developing and implementing MEAL frameworks.
  • Familiarity with donor regulations and reporting requirements, particularly for grants related to protection and GBV programming.
  • Understanding of gender equality and women's empowerment issues in humanitarian contexts.
  • Strategic planning, analytical, conflict resolution and organizational skill.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Ukrainian.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity; solid team player.
  • Strong report writing skills are required.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks independently and meet tough and multiple deadlines.
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office, SPSS or other databases and Statistical Packages)
  • Ability to think clearly and precisely articulate is essential.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites within the region, attend meetings and events as required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances, and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Resilience and composure under pressure, with the ability to maintain focus and drive in challenging situations.

DUTIES:

  • Implement and oversee case management and protection services for individuals with disabilities, ensuring strong referral mechanisms.
  • Manage grants to local NGOs, contributing to annual project plans and preparing accurate reports.
  • Strengthen technical capacity of local NGOs, providing guidance on protection and GBV methodologies.
  • Develop and implement MEAL frameworks, conduct monitoring visits and facilitate learning processes.
  • Evaluate partner performance and conduct on-site mentoring for community needs assessments.
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions for program optimization.
  • Build partnerships with stakeholders, representing the organization and participating in relevant forums.
  • Document program activities, facilitate information sharing.
  • Ensure effective teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  • Prepare regular reports on progress, challenges, and recommendations for the project management team.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and documentation as required by project protocols
  • Improve professional skills and develop personal abilities constantly to raise work efficiency while attending trainings, educational sessions, and self-improvement;
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks as they arise.
  • Proactively monitor and address any issues that may impact project outcomes.
  • Maintain close communication with the other Alliance teams;
  • Monitoring visits to the field sites;
  • Proactively support APH fund-raising activities for achieving its mission and strategic goals
  • Undertake other duties as required.
