Project Coordinator
Summary
The Project Coordinator at Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) serves as a member of the Global Corrections Team and supports the delivery of complex, global logistics program to support the U.S. Department of State to provide travel and logistical support to law enforcement and justice sector reform assistance programs in Ukraine for between 2,000-30,000 participants per year. This position is responsible communicating with sponsors, hosts, participants, trainers, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of event logistics. During events, the Project Coordinator provides advance set up, on-the-ground participant engagement and assistance, and event close-out. This position also provides monitoring and evaluation support to capture programmatic impact.
Requirements
- Located in Ukraine and willing to work with team members across multiple time zones to provide responsive and timely logistical services.
- Bachelor’s degree in security studies or a related discipline.
- Up to two years of full-time, relevant work experience including planning and executing event logistics, managing event vendors; providing diplomatic and responsive customer service to event participants; and problem solving travel-related emergencies and logistical hurdles.
- Proven experience working with a team or collaborating with others to problem solve event and travel logistics.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Willing and able to organize and participate in cultural events, site visits, and other post-training activities with foreign officials, including during weekends (flex schedule).
- Experience working in or with the U.S. State Department or U.S. Embassies overseas (preferred).
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian.
