Junior/Middle PHP developer

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an enthusiastic, quick learning, detail-oriented junior/middle PHP developer with excellent problem solving skills to join our team.

You will be working on the development of a large international online greeting cards website. Our site brings smiles and joy to users in almost every country around the world. The site experiences big seasonal spikes in traffic and delivers millions of emails to its users every month, so all features have to be built with high load in mind.

We are a small team of experienced professionals and actively use Jira and Slack to communicate throughout the workday.

The ideal candidate will have experience building pixel-perfect, responsive websites using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. You should have the ability (and desire!) to work on the front-end as much as back-end, and you care deeply about the quality of your code.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with PHP 7+ development
• Experience with front-end development, ability to implement pixel-perfect markup
• Good knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS/LESS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Good knowledge of MySql (MariaDB)
• Good understanding of UX/UI design, ability to make own decisions
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good written English level

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• Linux knowledge is a plus
• Yii2 knowledge is a plus
• Experience with AWS cloud services is a plus
• Experience with microservices is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, test, and deliver clean, production-ready code for a large international online greetings website with local language versions
• Occasional development tasks for the company's other websites in the field of finances, news and entertainment
• Communication with client from Denmark
