About the client: 

Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes. We have been working with this client on a number of IT projects for several years.

About the project: 

We are currently looking for a Market Data Specialist, which will become an extension of London based client team and will be focused on the analysis, supplementing and updating of Market Data, including EOD pricing, IPV prices, time series, corporate actions and curve construction.

Our team: Rapidly expanding group in Kyiv providing IT and other business services to the client.

Currently, the team operates in WFH mode.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for Market Data processes across client's banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity, which employs you.

• To work as a team member in the Market Data section within the Information Data Management department
• Support the Master Data Strategy
• Sourcing, cleansing, validating, and distributing Market data
• Ensure all market data captured is accurate, reliable and serves cross-functional and cross-entity purposes
• Identify technical or process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
• To ensure that desk procedures are kept up to date and that improvements are made when necessary in an effort to improve efficiency
• Review proactively the market data process, report any issues and recommend possible actions
• Build positive and pro-active working relationships with the key stakeholders across the business
• Active involvement in key department and firm projects and initiatives aiming at benefits realisation and control

Mandatory Skills:

A minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent) in a Bachelors in - Finance/Mathematics/Physics/Economics or equivalent

• Relevant qualifications/accreditations e.g. CFA. (beneficial)
• A minimum 5 years Market data expertise gained through relevant functional experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel essential, VBA beneficial).
• Detailed practical / working knowledge of the issues / challenges associated with market data.
• Excellent knowledge of market data requirements across asset classes with a focus on fixed income and derivatives
• Desirable system experience; Murex, Markit EDM
• Experience of working with stakeholders at various levels
