Configuration engineer

Project Description:

Experience in DevOps/Configuration Management and SL1-SL3 (administration & support).

System upgrade, integration of following DevOpsTools such as:

JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye+Crucible, Bamboo, Jenkins, Jama, Coverity,

Main activities in the project:

• - Instance Management: Server and application functionality and performance configuration
• - Application Management: Implementing User Stories and Customer needs and processes in Application projects and workflows
• - Implementing Customer requests not covered by native Application features
• - Custom plugins development
• - Providing additional reporting and analysis functionality for Application data
• - Projects routing automation.
• - CI: Integration team support with system configuration and workflow scripting
• - Integration logic and processes development
• - Solving non-standard tooling/process configuration issues

Technologies used:

Lunux/Windows deep admin activities

Groovy, Java, Python, Bash (and other shell)

DB servers administration (Postgress/MySQL)

Responsibilities:

* Perform Linux/Windows installation/configurations

* Installation and deployment of new servers

* Support and improve user administration developing scripts and tools

* Various project specific application management (the list of applications depends on candidate abilities and expertize)

* CI/CD Systems configuration (Bamboo,Jenkins and other)

Mandatory Skills:

Not mandatory to have all listed skills at place.

Can consider candidates with strong experience at least in 50% of them.

Project activities and responsibility will depends on candidate knowledge at the end.

Required experience:

* Ability to work autonomous/proactive

* Linux experience to check file system, validate functionalities on the Linux, process management and observation and measure performance

* Client-server source version control systems: GIT/Stash/SVN

* CI/CD pipeline configuration (Bamboo or Jenkins)

* Bash/Python knowledge and practical usage

* Database servers (Postgress/MySQL) roll-out/maintaining/monitoring

* Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology
