Head of Business Intelligence Systems Department

As a Head of Business Intelligence Systems Department, you will provide high-level technical direction and management to a team of programmers; strategic technology planning, analytical support to departmental clients and provide the leadership for the development of highly complex, enterprise business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Managing full lifecycle (implementation, development, support, swap etc.) of Business Intelligence domain information systems including infrastructure;
• BI strategy and road map alignment with corporate goals;
• Developing partner-adviser-IT service provider relations with internal customers;
• Build and grow a team of data engineers, analysts and scientists to enable the transition to a data-driven enterprise;
• Empower business users by providing guidance and support on self-service reporting and ad hoc analysis capabilities;
• Partner with IT leaders to ensure consistent data availability, data quality and data accessibility

Requirements:

• Proven ability to design, build, implement, and run enterprise data solutions;
• Strong people management background;
• Ability to estimate, plan and manage , work with line managers to manage own work and keep within plan;
• Past experience of working with the standard industry relational databases, data ETL or other similar applications, Business Objects (or equivalent) for reporting;
• Data science and NoSQL knowledge would be a plus;
• Development and coding experience would be beneficial;
• A strong technical aptitude, with a business solution focus
