Gas Turbine Control System Senior Project Engineer

Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation and coordination of gas turbine control system (TCS) project deliveries ensuring timeliness, cost efficiency and meeting our customers' expectations. You will be also responsible for supporting service teams during service maintenance after project phase completion. On this position, you will work with our customers from Energy, Process and Marine businesses.

In this role, your responsibilities will be...

• Designing and implementation of TCS - Turbine Control System (hardware and system design, application engineering) for gas turbines on Valmet DNA DCS platform
• Creation of project documentation: hardware and software definitions, system layouts, cabinets drawings, IO lists, loop diagrams, FAT procedures/protocols, quality documents
• Participation and organization of internal testing (iFAT) and customer Factory Acceptance Tests (cFAT)
• Participation in customer's site audits in case of retrofit projects to facilitate TCS related scope definition
• Technical support for Sales teams and project managers during sales phase
• Technical support for Service teams during service maintenance after project phase completion
• Coordinating and performing of technical trainings for customer operating and maintenance personnel

You have a relevant technical education such as Bachelor or Master of Science at automation technology (or similar). You already have gained couple of years working experience from this field, but you can still be in the beginning of your professional career if you have the willingness to grow with Valmet!

Our ideal candidate would have:

• Process knowhow of gas turbines, steam turbines and experience related to TCS systems is considered as a strength
• Knowledge and experience with automation control systems (DCS / SCADA / PLC)
• Knowledge and experience with safety systems, functional safety, overspeed protections, special measurements
• Microsoft Office skills (very good Excel skills, Visual Basic macros)
• Driving license (at least B category)
• Fluent English and Polish are essential in this role and other languages skills would be considered as an additional benefit (especially German)
  
• Willingness to business travels

It is seen as a benefit if you have:

• Knowledge of ATEX directive requirements is considered as significant asset
• Knowledge and experience with communication links - Modbus / Profibus / Profinet / OPC
