DWDM engineer

LLC Huawei Ukraine is looking for DWDM engineer to join our business.

Position requirements:

• Take responsibility for WDM network engineering delivery and deliver engineering projects related to transmission products. As an engineer, support project delivery and handle technical problems that occur during project delivery.
• As a network maintenance engineer, perform the preceding product maintenance and fault analysis, support the routine maintenance, fault locating, troubleshooting, and network optimization of WDM products, and improve network performance.
• l Strong learning and adaptability, familiar with relevant product knowledge, good communication skills and understanding, strong initiative and teamwork spirit.

Required skills:

• WDM principles: Have general knowledge of the basic knowledge of fiber transmission, principles of multiplexing, demultiplexing, and optical amplification (including Raman boards), and system monitoring principles. Understand common WDM networking modes and site types. Have a good command of optical power calculation methods. Have a good command of the WDM signal flow (including ROADM complex signal flow and system signal flow, 40-wavelength and 80-wavelength signal flow).
• IP protocol principles: Have general knowledge of the OSI reference model and basic principles of the TCP/IP protocol. Understand the working principles of Ethernet, Layer 2 switching, VLAN, STP, and VRRP. Understand basic multicast principles. Learn about routing protocols.
• Have a good command of the functions and features of mainstream OTN software versions and version mapping. Master the methods of handling common alarms and performance problems. Master the methods of handling common packet plane alarms and performance problems. Have a good command of network protection configuration and testing for NG-WDM products and traditional WDM products. Have a good command of commissioning and maintaining a new 10G/40G/coherent (40G/100G) system. Have general knowledge of 10G/40G/coherent (40G/100G) WDM system expansion and reconstruction methods. Understand the analysis and handling of OSNR/dispersion/loss/non-linear issues in WDM systems.
