Local Practice Leader Financial Lines and Financial Institutions in Ukraine

GrECo is a large regional Insurance Broker with offices in 16 countries in the Central and Eastern Europe region. We are currently embarking on a specialty focus for our offices and we are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Ukraine to look after the Financial Lines and Financial Institutions insurances. The role will be International facing and directly reporting to the head office in Vienna for all planning and training and coordinating activity with local country manager. The Role

• The position is Practice Leader for Financial Lines and Financial Institutions for Ukraine operations of the GrECo Group.
• It is a senior position within the group and is part of a larger group wide growth plan that aims to make us more specialist in our approach to insurance, thus moving away from the model where generalists speak about all lines to clients.
• In this role, you will be approaching clients, acquisitioning, managing and administering a portfolio of specialty insurance businesses and accounts, dealing with all aspects of client affairs, within agreed procedures and regulations.
• It will involve being responsible for all lines within FI/FL for the country and interacting with the team in 15 other countries as well as the international and local insurance markets.
• We have regular meetings both in person and via MS Teams for full support from the Central Team and interactions

This will involve:

• Proactively work on new sales opportunities mostly outside the existing client base, mainly by attending client
• meetings in the Financial Institutions and Financial Lines sector; Proactively managing and administrating all aspects of client affairs in a prompt and efficient manner; Able to work on own initiative and with stand-alone sales budget;
• Regularly improving knowledge and gaining a comprehensive understanding of specialty insurance lines as well as associated legislation;
• Attending workshops and training sessions both in your country and elsewhere within the group;
• Helping to set the overall strategy for these lines both within your country and in the longer term within the group.

The Person

• Ideally you will have experience of working in an Insurance Broker on Financial Lines business with Financial Institutions experience a bonus, but candidates from an Insurance Company background will also be ideal.
• A motivated individual with a track record in sales in an insurance environment but who does not have the experience in Financial Lines and Financial Institutions directly will also be considered, we can train you in these lines and give support as you find your feet.
• We would expect you to be fluent or highly competent in English as a minimum due to required interaction with HQ, London/International Insurance Markets and to have a good level of education.
