Senior Big Data Engineer (Game Tech Project)

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Senior Big Data Engineer to start a new team with Sigma Software and apply the best engineering practices in daily work.

Structured, clean, and maintainable code is paramount within the team. We expect our ideal candidate to be flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.

Project:

Here is a perfect chance to work with a subteam that is responsible for DWH covering data injection from multiple sources, efficient data organization, and analytics based on that. The data engineering team is building a data warehouse for the whole company using the latest big data technology in the cloud: Google BigQuery, Google Pub/Sub, Apache Beam, and Apache Airflow.

Customer:

Our Customer is one of the EU's biggest GameTech companies, owner of one of the largest mobile gambling platforms with millions of users.

Responsibilities:

• Data analysis performing
• Designing, reviewing, implementing, testing, and optimizing ETL processes
• Designing and developing big data applications from scratch
• Providing development support for existing systems
• Troubleshooting data and/or system issues
• Creating system documentation

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of development experience in Java or Scala
• Strong experience with Spark Batch and Streaming
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Strong knowledge of GCP or AWS
• Experience in Data Warehousing/RDBMS technologies
• Hadoop experience
• Experience with automated testing practices
• Strong scripting skills to perform data/file manipulation
• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
• Experience in MicroStrategy is a plus
