Middle QA Engineer (IRC91506)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Middle QA Engineer to join its Lviv office.

Our Client developed advanced medical technologies that were simpler, easier and safer to use. This led to the invention of a blood mixer and scale for blood banking organizations. Now the device is an indisputable leader in US occupying 85% of the market. The devices are also distributed throughout the world continuously grasping new markets. Our Client invests in research, new technologies and process improvements to stay competitive and to bring more value for the end-users. Part of the solutions that were created in collaboration with GL are aimed to support end-users, business reaction in the blood donation sphere, make predictions and analyze the current situation in real-time. In addition, our client works with US Hospitals, provides various "Hospital solutions" to support end-users and staff, collect medical data, make analyzes, predict emergency cases and send data to the EMR system.

Project:

The project creates an embedded firmware for the new generation of the medical device used by blood donation organizations. The team has accepted a challenge to completely redesign the firmware architecture and improve device connectivity and usability and with this, to save its efficiency, safety, and portability. Moving toward the Client's business strategic goal, the team is helping to integrate the device with blood donation data ecosystems. The device is based on a new generation of microchips and supports the latest technologies, like RTOS, Sensors screens, BLE, IoT, Multithreading, etc. The new generation of medical devices will be selling in worldwide starting from US, EU, ASIA. Product provides a new quality of work in the field of blood donation, changes daily routine, makes life better and provides new opportunities for customers and end-users. The main goal and target of our product is to save lives, provide the best quality of life and medicine all over the world.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer within an IT company

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, reporting, planning software development activities
• Experience with JIRA tracking systems (task management and defect management)
• Experience in writing product requirements, traceability matrixes, test plans, test reports, traceability matrix
• Experience in testing REST API (using Postman)
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL);
• Solid skills in creation of Test Documentation (test cases, checklists, etc.)
• Define the entry and exit criteria for new content development
• Participation in estimates, prioritization, task distribution, progress reporting
• Experience in analyzing project documentation to ensure understanding of business and technical requirements
• Managing QA team priorities, and ensuring tasks are completed in the desired order prior to stated deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills
