Middle Java Developer (IRC84443)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Middle Java Developer to join its Mykolaiv office.

Custom software is a software developed to accommodate end customer's particular preferences and expectations, which are not available for commercial out-of-the-box Inventory Management system of our Client.

There are number of different custom application (web application, web services) developed that require continuous functional enhancements, improvements and maintenance. Project also includes the new custom application development. Solution based on Service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is ancestor of the modern microservices architecture.

Client is the Company is a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment & services to mobile & fixed network operators. Over 1,000 networks in more than 180 countries use company's equipment, & more than 40 percent of the world's mobile traffic passes through company's networks.

Customer is the one the biggest fixed and mobile network operator in one of the Middle East countries.

Project main activities are performed within the GMT+2 and GMT+3 time zones and Ukrainian work week.

Requirements

• 3+ years of overall work experience
• 2+ years of development experience in Java (preferably building/maintaining applications in enterprise segment)
• Strong Core Java
• Good J2EE experience: EJB, JAX-WS, JMS, JAX-RS, CDI, JTA
• Good Spring experience: Spring Core Container, Spring JDBC, Spring Web Services, Spring MVC
• Good OOP/OOD
• RDBMS background (Oracle is preferable)
• Front-end experience is a plus: JQuery, JSP, JSF, Bootstrap 3/4
• Linux experience: basic/regular user
• GWT/Vaadin experience is a plus
• XML/XSD/XSLT/XPath is a plus
• Technical or Telecom/OSS/BSS background is a must
• Good written and verbal English skills is a must

Responsibilities

• Working as a part of big geographically distributed team (from US to India)
• Working on functionality customization of big enterprise solutions for telecommunication area
• Design and implement code (including SQL queries)
• Support remote QA team with unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests
• Improve and support the deployed code and configuration
• Troubleshoot and analyze problems identified in the created solutions
• Everyday communication with customer team (requirements clarification, status update, issues etc.)
