We are looking for a talented Engineer to join Avid's Platform Engineering Team. You will be supporting the cloud and on-premise provisioning and deployment of the Avid MediaCentral Platform as part of the Avid Everywhere strategy. The position will participate in the testing in automated provisioning, deployment, and delivery, as well as contributing to the automated integration pipeline and framework.

As a key member of Cloud Engineering, you will be part of a team of highly motivated engineers and software QA working in an efficient Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements:

• 0,5+ years of NodeJS development experience
• NodeJS 
• Databases: mongoDB
• REST, HTTP, WS
• Unit Testing Tools experience (Mocha, sinon, should or other similar tools)
• Experience with debugging
• Experience with Git or any other version control system
• Intermediate level of English 

Preferred

• Test-Driven Development
• CI/CD automation experience with Jenkins, Groovy
• Experience with issue tracking systems
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Experience with Docker
• Databases: Redis, ElasticSearch
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with message queue(RMQ)
• Portfolio of the completed project

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Flow
• Experience with Typescript
• Postmortem debugging
• Distributed transactions in SOA

Responsibilities

We are looking for Javascript (ES6) developer with NodeJS experience who can work with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), can cover own code by unit tests, create REST API for microservices and deliver Docker images.

From our side, the candidate will get experience in building new services from scratch, usage of the new tools, investigations, usage of the different service providers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in designing application programming interface.
• Design database schema.
• Develop new features and bug fixes.
• Participating in architecture design meetings with architects and other teams by demand.
• Improve and maintain the existing CI pipeline.
