Front End Developer (IRC75274)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Front End Developer to join its Kyiv office.

We are looking for a talented front-end web developer to join Avid's Platform Engineering Team. You will be involved in fast-paced development of a cutting-edge web-based media platform. Much of the work will be focused on migrating the existing code base to new technologies, refactoring code in order to reduce its complexity by taking advantage of modern JavaScript development techniques. Development efforts are aided by extensive use of automated testing, to ensure that existing functionality stays unaffected by the refactoring.

Requirements

• Participation in frontend development of an large single-page web application with an extensive list of important corporate users
• Creating a new UI for new workflows 
• Unit testing

Preferences

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery tools (GitLab CI , etc) is an advantage
• Network, TCP/IP, HTTP, REST, WebSocket, web security and authentication
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile principles
• Experience with WebPack and other nodejs-based tools

Responsibilities

• Demonstrable development experience in JavaScript, CSS, HTML DOM
• Knowledge of JS frameworks, build tools (Npm, Webpack, Babel, ES6, React)
• Understanding of key concepts of object-oriented and functional programming, principles of separating business logic from presentation logic
