Junior Test Engineer (IRC71734)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Junior Test Engineer to join its Kharkiv office.

We are looking for a motivated test engineer with technical writing experience to perform the quality assurance/quality control activities which include providing formal test plans for complex software systems.

Our client is a well-known brand in the construction domain. They have offices all around the world and a great technical team. We are working on the desktop application and going to create a mobile application in 2019. 

You'll be a part of the existing team of 12 people working on the desktop app and will have direct access to Product Owners and back-end developers. Our Product Owner understands UI/UX and is a great fan of a good and modern design. 

Though we're working for a big enterprise client, we have a start-up atmosphere. No estimates and time logs, monthly releases and direct communication with end users. You can participate in product development by sharing your ideas and contributing to the general backlog.

We're to help with the launch of a brand-new mobile application, as an extension to a current desktop application.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant professional experience and training within QA/QC
• Knowledge of agile development & test processes.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and using Virtual Machine environments.
• Experience with scripting languages for automation testing.
• Self-motivated, multitasker with a 'can-do' attitude

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of testing, including but not limited to, functional, integration, regression, load/performance, system, security, and user acceptance testing.
• Participate in acceptance testing.
• Develop overall test plans and schedules, understanding functionality, coverage, and risks.
• Report test progress, coverage, defect metrics, overall assessment as required.
• Manage defects and proactively identify risks to lead team members.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to provide detailed root cause analysis.
