Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) organization is one of Cisco’s fastest growing teams, and the CX Engineering and Product Incubation (EPI) group is redefining how Cisco delivers value to our customers & partners via our product portfolio. The CX Engineering organization is the team that is in the epicenter of developing modern, cloud native technologies in support of the evolving CX Product portfolio. In this time of outstanding change, we are seeking for top talent to deliver on robust, distributed engineering teams that will redefine success for Cisco and our customers. 

Who You'll Work With

Residing in the CX Engineering organization, you will work with peer teams within the CX engineering organization to design, develop and deliver best in class SaaS solutions. You will work with peer teams in Product Management, Operations and experience Design to build the world’s best customer experience for our customers, partners and delivery engineers. Every day and every interaction will be unique, but you will likely engage with a diverse representation of engineers, product owners, product managers, business units, IT and CX leadership.

You will throw your lot in with fellow engineers to build high-quality, high-scale & customer-delighting SaaS products. We are looking for engineers with a growth attitude, eager to do their best work and build the best products. Simply put, you will deliver excellent software on a results-driven, high-trust team. 

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Writing high quality code, on time that meets customer’s expectations 
• Working closely with team lead to help the team deliver on their efforts as a collective unit 
• Working with Product Management, Operations and other engineering groups to build a great product 
• Mentor more junior engineers to successfully deliver individually and as a team 
• Take ownership for large portions of the platform, and help us design, deliver and maintain that code going forward. 

Who You Are

You are a software engineer by profession, by passion and by heart. It hurts you when you see a bad code and it makes you happy when you see a SOLID one. You naturally want to make things better and you do it with each commit. You are lazy and you do not like to do things twice, you automate your work to have computer do it for you. You enjoy writing new features from scratch, but you are not afraid to do some heavy lifting by paying off technical debt. You are not orthodox about programming languages, you choose the right one for a given problem, you put design patterns over language specific features. 

Seniority? All seniority levels are welcome. We have room for Technical Leaders, Seniors, Regulars and Associates. 

Ideal candidate has following experience: 

• Experience developing and deploying SaaS software 
• Experience shipping cloud native software preferably in AWS 
• Experience taking difficult problems and translating them into solutions 
• Experience in creating and maintaining large scale distributed cloud native technology stacks that achieve over 99.98% uptime 
• Strong ability to collaborate, finding win-win solutions within Engineering and partnering with Product 
• Experience with modern programming languages, preferably Java (15)
