Chief Accountant

Caparol Ukraine is the subsidiary of the international German concern «Deutsche Amphibolin Werke». Office in Ukraine has opened in 1996 and became a confident leader in the field of paints, varnish and building insulation systems in Ukraine during last 20 years.

We are looking for a Chief Accountant who are willing to growth and be a part of creative and warm finance team of Caparol.

Main duties:

• Manage, supervises, directs and reviews the work of the accounting department;
• Reflection and control of provisions and accruals during closing;
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data within monthly, quarterly and yearly closing;
• Assurance the company taxes are calculated and paid according to the local legislation including preparation of tax declarations (VAT, CIT etc);
• Creation of local financial, statistical, tax and internal reports;
• Tax and accounting consulting, control of all upcoming tax changes, maintains relationship with tax authorities;
• Calculates deferred taxes;
• Regular review of contracts to minimize tax and accounting risks;
• Creation of Tax and Accounting guidelines, procedures and instructions;
• Check and control Payroll posting;
• Tax and accounting process optimization in 1C;
• Leading financial and tax audits by the Group and external audit companies;
• Checking and signing bank statements, electronical VAT invoices etc;
• Intercompany reconciliation;

Our requirements:

• University Degree in Finance/Accounting/Audit;
• 5+ years' experience as Chief Accountant preferably with a multinational company;
• Excellent knowledge of Local Accounting Standards, practices, standards, laws and regulations;
• Deep knowledge of Ukrainian taxation system;
• Experience of work with tax authorities and audit companies;
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; creativeness and readiness for innovations;
• Good leadership, communication and business development skills;
• English (intermediate as minimum);
• Computer literacy: MS Win, MS Excel, MS Word, accounting programs(1C is a plus)
