Communications Executive

BAT Ukraine is looking for a Communications Executive to support and assist the work of the Head of LEX, Head of Government Affairs, Corporate Affairs Managers. This is going to be done through implementation and execution of external communications strategy, internal communications cycle plans and by providing tactical internal communications solutions that contribute to Area & end market objectives and add value to the business.

Main responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for a range of communication tools and channels (e.g. external media, business briefings, local Interact, corporate web site, etc.) to deliver timely and appropriate corporate information that contributes to engagement of external stakeholders, provision of understanding of the company's priorities and vision, understanding of the business by external and internal stakeholders, including employees.
• To support and assist the Head of LEX, Head of Government Affairs, Corporate Affairs Managers in both external communication and CSR projects, deputizing for him/her where necessary, and taking the lead communications role on internal projects where required producing and owning the respective communications plan.
• Provide tactical support in the delivery of external and internal communication strategy and activities, including local translation whenever needed to support key Regional & Area initiatives and ensuring that external and internal stakeholders are duly informed and engaged.
• Support the Head of LEX, Head of Government Affairs, Corporate Affairs Managers, including sharing of local content to the Area, to ensure effective external and internal communication on key business issues.
• Maintain enhanced working relationships with other functions to deliver a cross-functional, joined-up approach to internal communications. Work proactively with the LEX function and other parts of the business to ensure an integrated approach across internal and external communications.
• Help evaluate external and internal communication initiatives against agreed (Area) objectives and recommend improvements to ensure outcomes meet business needs.

Essential requirements:

• Higher related education with an experience in a corporate communications environment.
• Experience of using a variety of media.
• Understanding of basic communications planning and research tools and techniques.
• Corporate understanding and awareness.
• Good project-management skills.
• Time-management and prioritisation.
• Ability to write and edit in Ukrainian, Russian and English for a variety of channels, in an appropriate style for the audience, clearly and concisely.
• Flexible, creative approach to work and problem solving.
• Able to contribute to planning and strategy development of the communications function.
• Able to manage external corporate communications suppliers.
• Good interpersonal and team skills.
