Head of Logistics Department (raw materials)

Our client, an international raw materials manuracturing group, is looking for Head of Logistics Department for its Office in Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• Logistics Leadership (instractructure & production)
• Continuous supply chain risk analysis & action plans to improve
• Analyze available routes to assure maximum efficiency in the delivery of raw products according to the contract
• Maintains close communication with Business Unit Sales personnel to assure availability of effective product delivery systems.
• Serves as primary interface between the customer and the carrier to resolve delivery problems.
• Maintains contact with Global Supply Chain and Logistics Team to determine "Best Practices" in the Company.
• Manage supply chain planning process and tools, including strategic, operational, and ad hoc projects.
• Lead implementation of enhanced supply chain planning tool and related processes for strategic, tactical, and operational planning in close collaboration with all regions and functions.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes in close collaboration with Finance, Sales and Operations as well as other Functions
• Identify projects and alternative sourcing methods to optimize margins and cash flow.
• Apply other operations research tools to solve supply chain problems.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Economics/Trade Management/Supply/Logistic.
• 5+ years previous experience in plant operations, production, or quality control in a manufacturing, preferably in the commodity or raw materials industry.
• Prior warehouse and distribution management experience.
• Proven leadership skills including experience supervising direct reports.
• Outstanding communication skills, including excellent presentation abilities, to all levels of management.
• Result-oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Able and willing to go on business trips
• Excellent English (oral and written), in addition to Ukrainian and/or Russian.
