As an Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the best educational practices at Mate and ensure that all our tech and non-tech courses are consistent and meet the market requirements. So it would be great if you have a basic understanding of programming or you are eager to learn it with our courses.

This position involves a hybrid work format and a two-week onboarding in the Kyiv office.

Learn about our approach: Our goal is to help students find their first job and our teaching approaches help us to employ 90% of graduates.

• We believe in hands-on learning, so our educational programs consist of 80% of practice and only 20% of theory.
• We`ve built our own LMS system which helps us to make our education process smooth and consistent. You can try it yourself by signing up for any free course.
• Experienced mentors and coaches help students by checking their homework, and running Q&A and tech check sessions daily.

Tasks you will cover:

• Audit and improvement of our online courses to make them more beginner-friendly, making sure that our courses follow state-of-the-art approaches to teaching people.
• Creating new courses from scratch.
• Working closely with SMEs on content production: setting learning objectives, editing video scripts, designing quizzes, and practical tasks.
• Overall improvement of our students' learning experience.

We expect that you:

• Have experience in a similar role 2+ years with prior experience working in an Ed Tech.
• You are a fan of education - you know many more techniques/approaches to teaching people efficiently than the 'Learning How to Learn' book describes.
• You are a content nerd - you love seeking out inconsistencies in the content and fixing them.
• Have excellent Communication Skills - you can clearly communicate your thoughts verbally and in writing and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• You are ready to step in our student's shoes by immersing yourself in the learning process.
• Know how to present complex material to beginners.
• Have Upper-intermediate + English or you are ready to improve it fast.
