New Neptune Grain Terminal (joint project of M.V. Cargo with the largest corporation Cargill) is looking for a BUYER
Neptune Grain Terminal. Design capacity is 5 million tons of grain per year. 290 thousand tons of one-time grain storage in a warehouse and in 14 silos. The terminal was created in cooperation with international IFC and EBRD banks.
Position Purpose & Summary
This position is responsible for coordination of sourcing activities with some complex sourcing requirements, including managing tactical sourcing processes and procurement records, providing sub-region tactical sourcing support and planning, managing supplier events and relationships, and implementing sourcing strategies.
Principal Accountabilities
Manage/execute CAPEX/OPEX sourcing processes
- Responsible for managing tactical sourcing process to select suppliers for procurement of non-contracted materials/goods, services and/or supplies which are considered local spend.
- Conduct tactical sourcing RFPs in line with corporate eSourcing Policy
- Lead and/or act as subject matter expert on local team.
- Works with buyers across businesses to coordinate complex tactical sourcing activities (e.g. major capital projects or other large spend areas) to leverage resources and increase value capture.
- Deliver budgeted value for tactical sourcing
Provide procurement support & planning
- Alignment in CAPEX on (longer term) supply needs of the business.
- Obtain an in depth understanding of operations and business (critical) customer requirements.
- Obtain an indept understanding of the business sourcing environment (e.g. suppliers, cost drivers, international market dynamics, geopolitical risk, import/export laws, etc).
- Support local internal and external audits on procurement process topics.
Implement sourcing strategies and manage suppliers & agreements
- Manage supplier relationship & performance
- Teams up with peers in other sub-regions or regions to ensure a common way of working and the exchange of different experiences
Education, Experience, Skills
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 8 years of relevant business experience; 3+ years implementing procurement, trading or strategic sourcing related duties.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders at senior levels
- Critical thinker with strategic perspective and results oriented mindset
- Persuasive change agent capable of challenging conventional wisdom
- Ability to influence, work effectively and implement solutions in a team environment
- Experience with key service suppliers and ability to develop beneficial relationships
- Strong negotiation skills
