Your profile

• Experience of working in a retail and/or logistics role, including previous management experience of leading others.
• Strong knowledge of: Retail logistics performance monitoring, how KPI's are build up and how they influence each other; Working methods preventing goods' damages during all In-store Goods flow processes; Creating, following and maintaining guiding framework documents with internal and/or external stakeholders; Standard operating procedures for forklift drivers to keep all co-workers safe and secure during logistics operations; Ways of planning Logistics resources and processes (e.g. staff, org.structure, equipment, in-deliveries schedule etc.) in accordance with potential sales scenarios.
• Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English.
• Ability to work through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility and give open and honest feedback. Inspire and engage others.
• Business-minded with a clear customer focus, potential to apply tactical and operational thinking.
• Experience of setting and implementing action plans and providing clear directions and following up goals.
• Ability to meet agreed budgets and goals, and work on plans over a number of years.

About the job

You will be responsible for the optimisation and development of all goods flow operations in the store to maximise store's logistical performances. You will be committed to the development of your co-workers and ensure a living succession plan is in place in the area of Goods Flow. You will ensure the preconditions for an effective and efficient receiving of goods, replenishment of sales spaces and picking of goods for our customers, with a focus on excellence in execution.

In this role, you will be a part of the Logistics team and you will:

• Work closely with the Store Logistics Manager and the Sales and Supply Support Manager to secure correct usage of short- and mid-term capacity of the store in order to maximize efficient logistics operations with the right balance in inbound and outbound volume as well as plan for future needs by considering space, equipment and people as part of the total supply chain capacity.
• Lead the store goods flow team and work with the country Fulfillment Unit Operations Leader and the store commercial team to secure the highest goods availability and enable customer order fulfillment at all times at the lowest possible cost.
• Identify, recruit, retain and develop the many talents in the goods flow team to secure a diverse, competent team that can execute it's assigned responsibilities with confidence and secure the future succession.
• Contribute to positioning the IKEA store and the IKEA Brand as responsible partners in lowering environmental impact by taking relevant actions that contribute to achieving long-term profitability in a sustainable and environmental way.
• Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
• Ensure that the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA code of conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and the environment.
• Secure optimal implementation of sales location management process in the news management, shop is in excellent shape as new, fully and efficiently stocked and you act quickly on commercial opportunities (overstock and out of stock) and range allocation
• Contribute with relevant goods flow input and feedback to the store business plan and logistics action plan and ensure that these actions are implemented in the inbound- and outbound goods flow processes.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and business partners to support their competence development, particularly the understanding of the principles of effective and efficient goods flow and health and safety in goods handling.
• Secure effective, qualitative and efficient goods flow within the store's receiving-, replenishment- and customer order fulfillment processes in order to guarantee customer shopping experience through quality of products, merchandising and stock accuracy.
• Be the ambassador of the IKEA Value chain within the Goods flow Team through securing the objectives and goals stated in the Global Service Protocol, local appendices and service agreements with the Transport Service Providers.
