Automation QA Lead

We are looking for an Automation QA Lead to join our team.

As an Automation QA Lead with GeoGuard, you will be responsible for leading a team of automation QA engineers, developing automated tests on Python and RobotFramework and reporting on the quality assurance of our software to ensure applications are functional and provide great user experience for all of our customers. This position continuously looks for opportunities to improve product and business processes and maintains open communication with all members from development and product teams.

Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years' of experience in QA automation and bug tracking systems. You possess intermediate to advanced understanding of the principles of manual and automated testing and object-oriented programming. You are able to interact with systems that are used in professional software development such as JIRA.

You enjoy working in small collaborative teams and have good communication and interpersonal skills. You are a fast learner, highly analytical, detail-oriented and able to work under tight timelines.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Support up to date Python scripts (experience is highly required)

• Create and maintain RobotFramework tests is an asset

• Control and actualize continuous integration systems

• Create and maintain checklists and test suites

• Record found defects and assign priority accordingly

• Perform all QA related activities for release

• Participate in team meetings and quality assurance walk-throughs according to GeoGuard PDLC guidance

Your skills & qualifications:

• 2+ years' experience in a similar role in a leadership position

• Experience with Python and Bash scripting languages

• Familiarity with RobotFramework tool

• Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery process (Jenkins)

• Experience with version control systems (Git or Mercurial)

• Experience with testing tools (Jira, TestRail etc.)

• Experience with MacOS and Windows

• Strong knowledge of theory and best practices of software testing

• Intermediate written and spoken technical English enough to discuss issues with teams remotely
