What You Will Be Doing As a Credit & Counterparty Risk Specialist with Ukrainian skills

The core focus of this role is providing independent and objective analysis, monitoring and management of Credit & Counterparty Risk Management for the Bunge Offices/businesses supported.

This will be done through the following activities:

• Assisting counterparty risk analysis in accordance with Bunge policies, including KYC checks and due diligence, assigning credit grades via financial analysis, limits and payment terms and approves exposure limits within delegated authority, escalation of exceptions.
• Improving accurate maintenance of counterparty information (grades, approvals, etc.) in credit systems.
• Supervising Counterparty analysis renewal dates.
• Maintaining management tools and reports to support business decisions and monitoring credit exposures.
• Cooperating with communications and networking within the department’s function structures to ensure full alignment and sharing expertise and best practices to help to grow the region.
• Performing daily routines, providing a service to the business, and help on the implementation of any structural changes (changes in requirements, systems, etc.).
• Assigning credit grades, exposure (credit, MTM & PFE) limits and payment terms in line with delegated authority.
• Authorizing releases in the system when credit limits are exceeded.

The position will be based in either Kiev, Bucharest or Warsaw and it will report to our Head of Credit EMEA, located in Kiev. If located in Kiev, the role is fully remote for the time being in the other 2 locations we offer hybrid work.

What do we expect from our Credit & Counterparty Risk Specialist?

University Degree with major preferably in Economics / Finance

1-3 years of credit and counterparty risk management and financial analysis experience.

• International trade understanding or experience
• Understanding of international commodity trading terms
• Good working knowledge of Excel, MS Office suite
• SAP, Sales Force and other ERPs knowledge is considered a plus
• Fluent in Ukrainian language and intermediate English level
• Understanding of compliance risk.
