Cloud Solutions Engineer (Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS public cloud and hybrid infrastructures)

Global international IT company SoftwareOne - IT solutions provider (Software, Cloud, Consulting & Services) looking for Cloud Solutions Engineer (Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS public cloud and hybrid infrastructures)

The Cloud Solutions Engineer is a customer-facing mid-level engineer position. Role responsibility consists of the implementation of technology projects personally, as well as providing consulting and advisory services on public cloud and hybrid infrastructures for company customers.

Areas of Responsibility includes

1. Design and implement Azure IaaS/PaaS solutions based on customer requirements and environment assessments. Azure Well-Architected framework and best practices must be used
2. Consult on platform security, and resource management practices
3. Deployments automation tasks by ARM templates and Azure CLI/PowerShell required, Terraform is optional but preferable
4. Implementation hybrid identity solutions based on Windows AD, Azure AD, AD Connect and ARM RBAC management model
5. Migration (Lift & Shift) of workloads into Azure from on-premise or other cloud providers: Windows, Linux, RDBMS
6. Design and implementation BCDR (backup and disaster recovery) solution in hybrid infrastructure
7. Pre-sales activities - expanding collaboration with existing and new customers: High Level Architecture design, calculation for projected cloud resources consumption

Requirements

1. 2+ years relevant experience implementing complex IT solutions based on Microsoft products and services. Linux is optional but preferable
2. Experience in designing and implementing Hybrid Cloud solution projects involving implementing Private/Hybrid Clouds and good knowledge on infrastructure areas involving Storage, Servers, Network etc.
3. Certification in Microsoft Cloud services is strongly preferable. If you have not previously attained Microsoft Azure Role Based Certification, you must pass the exam within your first 90 days (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
4. Demonstrate ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience 
5. Strong trouble-shooting skills across a broad and diverse population and environment 
6. Ability to discuss cross-vendors services
