Senior DevOps Engineer #7004

Purpose of the job:

Our client is one of the world's largest online marketplaces, dealing with one billion events per day. Currently, we are building a team to work onsite at the client's office in San Francisco.

We are looking for Senior DevOps, who will contribute to the optimization of existing infrastructure to reduce the operational cost, like disk utilization, CPU utilization, # of clusters, etc. Previous experience with centralized logging and monitoring on AWS, ELK stack, and APM solutions (NewRelic/DataDog) are critical.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Resolve most complex DevOps tasks
• Comprehensive analysis of the existing solution and proposal of the improvement
• Establish and implement the best practices of centralized logging and monitoring
• Reduce key operational performance indicators
• Work closely with Engineering and Infrastructure teams
• Work in close contact with team members and project stakeholders on the client's site

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years in DevOps/System administration
• 2+ years of experience with AWS stack
• Scripting experience (fluent in at least one of the following: bash, python, perl, ruby)
• Hands-on experience of working with production environments with zero tolerance to any errors
• Experience in Agile development environments

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Excellent English level for communication (verbal & written)
