Senior Ruby Engineer #7030

Purpose of the job:

Company was found in 2012 in Barcelona and successfully develops their SaaS in production. Product is an online service to provide dynamic forms and building online surveys based on user needs. Most famous brands which use the service are: Apple, Airbnb, Uber, Nike etc.

You will have a chance to: - Take part in designing new micro-service architecture in cloud. - Identify and encourage areas for growth and development.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively participate in researches, discussions and decisions on software architecture and internal coding, architectural, process and other standards.
• Proactively raise technical risks and suggest measures against them
• Implement, review, support and debug required content
• Deliver high quality content within Scrum methodology
• Writing reusable, testable and efficient code
• Implementing security and data protection

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field/degree, and/or equivalent work experience
• Commercial Ruby on Rails/Ruby Dev experience, 3+ years
• Commercial experience with micro-services architecture
• Unit/Integration testing experience
• Docker experience
• Commercial experience with AWS cloud
• at least Intermediate level of English (verbal & written)
• Can work with cross-team members on large and complex projects
• Can breakdown a complex situation and come up with an elegant solution

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with RSpec, VCR, Capybara or similar
• Experience of integration and setting operational metrics with tools like NewRelic, Data Dog, Kibana
• Release engineering hands-on experience
• Security mindset to operate with sensitive data
• BDD commercial experience
