Health & Safety Manager

Our client, a well-known pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Health & Safety Manager

Major Responsibilities

• Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
• Maintain and update as needed SOP's for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training.
• Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected.
• Coordinate with Operations and General Manager on facility deficiencies and monthly safety inspections.
• Manager and evaluate performance of subordinates.
• Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
• Accountable for researching and writing permit applications, work with environmental group, and be compliant in completing permit reporting requirements.
• Review accidents and incidents, which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions.
• Responsible for assisting in the identification of possible losses; evaluating the risk in such loss exposure developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to ensure its effectiveness.
• Support business in implementation of EHS standards.
• Participate in EHS auditing, as required according to the plan.
• Provide information regarding Company?s safety and environment system to customers and co-operation with them when auditing our operations.
• Participate in other activities performed by the EHS Department, according to own knowledge and experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience (EHS in production area);
• Strong knowledge of Ukrainian legislation in EHS sphere;
• Good PC user (MS Office is a must);
• Well-developed managerial, organizational and interpersonal skills;
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Advanced communication skills;
• Relevant education in EHS sphere is an advantage;
• English - upper-intermediate.
