About the role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel (mid-level) who will join CEX.IO Legal Department. Ourperfect candidate is a young and ambitious international law specialist with perfect English,both written and oral. We value a strong sense of ownership, as well as a sharp sense of humor.

What are the main responsibilities?

• All matters related to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation); 
• Working experience in data protection compliance or a related field;
• Expertise in European data protection laws and practices including an in-depth understanding of the GDPR;
• Legal Support: investigation of users’ situations, preparation of legal responses;
• Contracts with vendors proofreading and/or preparation;
• Assessment, evaluation and eliminating business risks;
• Drafting various legal documents in English;
• Legal research, constant monitoring of changes in legislation applicable to the company;
• Dealing with other corporate matters.

Essential Skills and Expertise

Hard skills:

• Deep understanding and an ability to apply international corporate law, including but not limited to kinds and peculiarities of formation of the company, its statutory documents, corporate governance etc.;
• Knowledge of IP rights peculiarities;
• Excellent legal writing skills;
• FOREX and/or virtual currency and/or Banking expertise is an advantage;
• English level acknowledgement: Upper-intermediate;
• Full proficiency in using Word/Excel, Adobe;
• Analytical mindset and strong legal research skills;
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in corporate/commercial law is a must.

Soft skills:

• Willingness to take ownership of the results;
• Attention to details, self-management and good project execution skills;
• Outstanding negotiation skills;
• Desire to learn fast and constantly grow;
• Being ready to process large volumes of new information;
• Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
