VoIP Support Engineer

Maxitech is an R&D office of a large international holding headquartered in Israel. We have offices in 8 locations worldwide. The R&D team located in Kyiv. The current team size is 200+ people.

We do qualitative software products to enable the business to become more efficient and successful. Working with a broad audience of private investors, we help them trading stocks, commodities, and currencies and provide them with a suite of efficient services for online investments.

Maxitech is looking for a motivated, proactive, self-driven VoIP Support Engineer to join the team:

Requirements:

  • at least 5 years of proven VoIP experience (SIP)
  • experience troubsleshooting SIP, WebRTC, managing SIP trunks, VOIP systems installation and configuaration (Asterisk/FreePBX)
  • dialplan programming, experience with AMI/AGI/ARI interfaces, network traffic packet capture and further analyzis
  • knowledge with Bash/Python/PHP/Perl scripting skills — Python is an advantage
  • experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana or similar)
  • proven experience working with Unix systems
  • B1/B2+ English level, all interviews we’ll run in English is an advantage
  • experience with Kamailio/OpenSIPS, rtpproxy/rtpengine is an advantage
  • anything of DevOps stack, tools like Docker, Terraform, Ansible/Puppet and so forth is an advantage
  • experience with Google Cloud Platform and its APIs is an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • building SIP solution architectures for multi-PBX environment
  • close cooperation with trunking providers, issue reporting and helpdesk
  • managing large inventory of phone numbers, call performance checks, quality checks
  • managing client's requests (helpdesk) w/ Service now and soon with our proprietary ticketing system
  • prioritize and resolve incidents/request tickets, including escalation of urgent issues to the higher-level team or partners
  • monitoring and maintaining production PBX servers, call center performance, KPIs- being involved in new systems development, design and architecture decisions
