Lead Engineer for Distributed Control Systems

Relocation: Silesian District, Poland

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to lead our global delivery projects. You will play an important role in our organization - you'll be responsible for the technical implementation of project deliveries ensuring timeliness, cost efficiency and meeting of customer expectations

Mainly YOU will work in the Engineering Marine Hub. The main tasks are to design Marine Control System (hardware and system design, application engineering: 70% of the time), test and commission the product in the yards: mostly in France, Germany, Norway, Finland, Italy (30% of the time)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in automation (or similar) is a great background for this position
• Skills & Experience in delivery projects, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), automation engineering (programming in function block diagram language) and commissioning activities
• Process know-how of Marine and experience related to DCS/PLC Marine control systems is considered as a strength
• You are familiar with engineering-related quality assurance and control methods and these are guiding your daily work
• You are a customer-oriented self-driven team player
• Having the abilities to lead a project team
• Your project planning competences & systematical way of working leads to excellent results
• You have a positive and flexible attitude in everything you do
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Polish or German or French communication skills would be a competitive advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel
• You have a driving license, at least B category

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate and supervise the internal testing and customer Factory Acceptance Testing
• Perform and supervise high levels of engineering DNA DCS systems, such as Safety systems, data link, process definition, and system conversions or migrations
• Take part, if needed, in the sales team and assists the Project Manager as a technical expert
• Participate in the project planning, including overall scheduling, risk analysis/contingency plan, and installation checklists
• Supervise definition phase of the project, including internal/external kick-off meetings, system definition (hardware and software), customer communication, and freezing dates
• Handle change requests together with the project manager
• Manage the punch list for timely completion
• Supervise completion of application/performance reports
• Participate in project feedbacks meeting with the project team (lessons learned)
• Prepare, perform and supervise I/Os checkout
• Advanced troubleshooting during the testing and commissioning phases of the project, and feedback of relevant corrective actions to the product home
• Provide or supervise training for customer operations and maintenance personnel
• Finalize system documentation and prepare commissioning reports
