Senior Game (Feature) Designer

Frogwares Team is currently looking for Senior Game Designer for its upcoming open-world game.

Founded in 2000, Frogwares is an independent gamedev studio, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Thanks to the cooperative work of talented teams, our games are available for major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Best known for the popular Sherlock Holmes series, we aim to create immersive single-player experiences that stay with players after they put down the gamepad. With over 7 million units sold in the last decade, Frogwares continues to develop a rich portfolio for the new generation of gamers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Own and drive new gameplay and creation features end to end.

• Research, deconstruct and analyze game mechanics from a high level to the smallest details

• Prototype and iterate on designs through playtesting

• Collaborate cross-departmentally on the design and implementation of game features and content

• Write and maintain design documentation that will serve as a reference to guide interdependent teams.

• Mentor other designers on developing design skills

Core Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a Game Design role with one or more shipped titles on multiple platforms including PC / console

• Rich gaming background, preferably in latest open world games

• Passion for creating fun, compelling and addictive user experiences

• Ability to describe and breakdown gameplay components

• Knowledge of game design theory, tools and pipelines

• Capable of working with little to no direct supervision

• Good team player with excellent organizational and communication skills

• Fluent written and spoken English language

Bonus Skills:

• Experience using game editor, Unreal Engine (UDK).
