Team Lead PHP (Symfony)

Position Description:

Web Applications Architect should have extensive experience in design, and development of Web/Mobile applications, so he/she can lead by example (has "walked-the-walk" individual), and efficiently leverage the skills of developers under his supervision to transform requirements into working software.

The ideal candidate should be able to guide other developers in good practices, design patterns, perform code reviews, be a good communicator, and encourage good communication among the team (Scrum/Agile mentality).

Our Core Technologies:

LAMP stack, Amazon AWS, Docker, PHP 7, MySQL.

Key Position Responsibilities and Characteristics:

• Analyze requirements, and collaborate in the design of user-friendly, highly scalable, and high-quality Web/Mobile applications.
• Lead, and mentor team members under his/her supervision.
• Code reviews and code standards enforcing.
• Extensive experience leading development teams.
• Pro-active, and positive/constructive individual with a strong problem-solving mentality.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 7+ years' experience developing public-facing Web, and Mobile applications.
• Advanced understanding of Design Patterns.
• Advanced understanding of Doctrine or similar ORM's.
• PHP development using Symfony 2.8+, and other MVC frameworks.
• Frontend application development using Angular, React, VueJS, etc.
• Frontend development experience would be nice to have: HTML, CSS/SASS, advanced JavaScript.

A big plus: Scrum Master Certified, and/or advanced knowledge of Scrum methodologies.

A big plus: Amazon AWS experience.

A plus: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Web Marketing.

Soft Skills:

Good communication skills, with experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment;

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills;

Demonstrated ability to acquire technical knowledge through research and self-teaching;

Preferred:

Experience in Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical or other Consumer Package Goods (CPG) company

Working knowledge of MS Excel

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
