Communications Officer

Assignment

As part of the Project Development Unit, the Сommunication Officer is responsible for drafting/ developing/ contributing to communication products relating to ACTED and IMPACT’s activities in Ukraine.

Functions

• Propose and develop communication and visibility materials (leaflets, brochures, factsheets, articles, photo stories, etc.), both in-country and in coordination with HQ
• Contribute to joint communication products with ACTED/IMPACT’s partners in Ukraine
• Support or lead the organization, moderation, and documentation of meetings led by ACTED (with partners) on communications matters
• Draft weekly ‘news’ review of key political and security events 
• Ensure compliance with ACTED and donor communication and visibility policies/guidelines
• Interpret and translate from and to local languages to support mission activities as required
• Support reporting of program activities in line with ACTED and donor requirements
• Perform ad hoc research to support project development and other mission activities as required
• Organize/support the organization of ACTED/IMPACT events
• Represent ACTED in relevant fora – consortium meetings, cluster meetings, etc. 
• Participate in the identification of national and local partnership opportunities

 Requirements

Mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field
• Proficient in the use of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Written and oral fluency in English, Russian and Ukrainian
• Past experience with or strong personal interest in humanitarian or human rights issues 
• Respect of humanitarian and ACTED core values

Preferred

• Knowlege of WebDesign, Tableau 
• Social Media experience
• Knowledge of photography
