Contract Logistics Business/Financial Controller

Job description

Contract Logistics Business/ Financial Controller is a business and commercial minded partner who helps to define ways to measure business success and continues improvements. The person will have broad responsibilities with final target to proactively support business operations in tactical and strategic decisions.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities

Business Controlling:

  • Conducts profitability analysis (GP, NP1 & NP2) per customer, branch, Business Field and Business Unit;
  • Identifies one off and exceptional costs or revenues for proper analysis and monitoring;
  • Prepares reports for the purpose of result analysis, cost-control, variance reporting and proactively comments on operational results;
  • Controls CAPEX of Contract Logistic before submission to the next validation/approval level;
  • Validates business initiatives and drafts BIA to support decision-making process;
  • Budget management and variance analysis (manage budget preparation and rolling forecasts of Contract Logistic, preparation of tools, planning, manage the process with warehouse and project managers; Analysing variances between forecast and realization, work with warehouse and project managers to implement correcting actions);
  • Risk control (completeness of invoicing, fixed assets management, internal stock management, late payments, control of purchases and expenses);
  • Roll out Financial instruction and Guidelines throughout Contract Logistic;
  • Ad hoc analyses at the management's request.

 

Accounting & Reporting

  • Actively participates as the Divisional relay for Finance to the month closing;
  • To ensure proper accounting policies are effectively implemented and updated accordingly; To ensure corporate guidelines and local legislative rules are complied with;
  • To supervise month-end closing procedures and prepare corporate reporting packages; To control creation of provisions for risks management purpose;
  • To actively coordinate budget/forecast process and prepare budget/forecast packages;
  • To prepare different financial information for management decision making process;

 

Internal Control System (ICS) :

  • To support and maintain efficient Internal Control System (ICS) based on the corporate standards and requirements.

 

Ad-hoc financial support :

  • To prepare monthly packages to Region and Contract Logistics Director;
  • To provide professional advice on financial and accounting matters, if required;
  • To participate in ad-hoc projects and different financial analysis at Contract Logistics Director and/or Financial Director request.

 

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum experience: 3 years in similar positions
  • Previous experience preferably in international audit companies
  • Knowledge of IFRS principles
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, advanced user of Excel
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Fluent English or Good command of English
