The Swiss Federation for Mine Action (FSD) is looking for new staff. The working area will be in the Kharkiv Oblast but may require deployment to other oblasts in the future.

Job Requirement
FSD in Ukraine are looking to employ Drivers as part of a team conducting Mine and Battle Area Clearance Operations in Ukraine. Drivers will work in the field and carry out EOD Spot tasks in Kharkiv oblast. Drivers will be provided with comprehensive, certified training and all the equipment required to conduct clearance in a safe and professional manner. Candidates will initially be hired on a training contract and will be given a place on the team depending on their performance on the training course. Successful candidates will be included on FSD’s insurance policy covering workplace injuries.
Location
The role is based in Kharkiv with frequent travel throughout Kharkiv oblast. The role will be based in the field for extended periods.
Reporting
Driver will report directly to their respective Team Leaders.
Roles and responsibilities:
Drivers with experience driving 4wd SUV/ Ambulances.
B, C Class licence is essential.
Tasks will involve driving a 4wd vehicle that acts as an ambulance/evacuation vehicle in support of a demining /search team.
Previous first aid training/experience an advantage but not essential.
Essential Requirements:
Proven ability to work in field conditions, delivering consistent results for extended periods
Having a valid foreign passport
Physical robustness
Reliability
Teamwork
Ability to take and carry out orders efficiently
Candidates cannot be colour blind.
Certificate of Medical fitness (Narc ologist’s certification of sobriety)
Certificate of Psychological health
Certificate from the Ministry of Interior confirming that the candidate has no criminal record and permission to work with explosives
Ability to read and write Russian and Ukrainian
Desirable Requirements
Basic working level of English (speaking, reading and writing)
Experience working with demining NGOs
