Duties:
- Develop Purchasing into a strongly proactive and accountable function for all sourcing activities taking place within Scania Ukraine, and thereby constantly increase the status of Purchasing within the company as a service provider and partner, engaging constantly with the wholesale and retail network
- Develop the Procurement Area Leader structure enabling a constructive dialogue and training between Purchasing and internal customers, which shall lead to common decisions regarding prioritizations, supplier choices, savings etc.
- Develop a strategic supply base that will enable Scania Ukraine to achieve its objectives through the responsible sourcing of goods and services.
- Managing and leading purchase department, real estate and company car park team.
- Support internal customers in the purchasing process and guide them towards preferred suppliers and correct ordering process.
- Develop and coordinate IS/IT support for Purchasing, leading to improvements for the internal customers as well and deepening automation of Purchasing.
- Participate and work according to the Global Purchasing Strategic Plan as well as the business unit plans.
- Make necessary decisions to accomplish the mission in accordance with decisions made at management meetings, laws, regulations and other established guidelines.
- Create, implement and follow-up activities decided in the Business plan.
- Develop the preferred Supplier base.
- Reduce the total cost for Scania, not only in new negotiations but also reviewing the supplier base, current contracts and proposing cost-saving activities.
- Responsibility for the quality of purchasing process, suppliers and cost-savings and targets.
- Place orders and conclude commercial agreements with suppliers within approved investment and approved cost of the product/service.
- Continuously educate and inform about Real Estate in region.
- Continuously challenge, improve and develop department set-up
- Act with authority to Start, stop or put on-hold projects, assignments and activities connected to task.
- Within area of responsibility temporarily stop operations in case of risk for working environment, harm caused by one's environment or quality deviations
Candidate Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- University degree
- Solid experience from working in a purchasing background in a managerial position
- Experience in Real Estate projects
Knowledge& skills:
- Ability to gather and analyze data and to present decision choices accurately and concisely to senior management.
- Fluency in English is a must (Advanced level)
- Experience in automotive industry, retail network will be an advantage
- Experience of cooperation with internal customers and high demand management
- Very good command of IS/IT, especially Microsoft Office Package
