Junior Ruby Developer, Parking Booking Platform

CLIENT

DataArt’s client is a European service that deals with leasing parking spaces in large cities. Web and mobile applications provide access to the public parking network and allow to share free parking spots.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Our experts are responsible for the new feature development and for the support of the existing system.

TEAM

The project team is medium and consists of 15-20 people on the DataArt side and a team of product owners on the Customer’s side.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The project team is growing, so we are looking for a beginner Ruby developer, who will be actively involved in the day-to-day improvements of the system.

TECHNOLOGY STACK

Ruby on Rails, Grape, Ruby on Jets, React.js, AWS.  

Responsibilities

• Creation of new features
• Maintenance/Bug fixing
• Meetings (daily calls, grooming sessions, planning, demos, and retrospectives)

Requirements

• Ruby development experience
• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks – React
• Experience working with relational databases
• Experience in integration with 3rd party systems and services
• Understanding of REST API
• Spoken English

Nice to have

• Experience working with AWS
• Experience working with micro-services
