Scala Developer, Digital Insurance Services

The client is bringing digital insurance service to its clients, and building a product that is rebooting the insurance industry. The client has hired DataArt to help them with a data transformation project and to reinforce the existing team.

The client is located in Germany, but the team is multinational, so having verbal & written English communication skills is a key requirement. The candidate should have a proven background in the creation of data transformation projects and building highly-loaded distributed systems.

Must have

• Development experience using Scala
• Experience with AWS: S3, Redshift, Lambda
• Experience using the Akka Scala framework
• Practical experience in database design (PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency in OOP, OOD, and design patterns
• Ability to use automated testing systems (JUnit, ScalaTest, ScalaMock)
• Independent
• Team working skills
• Spoken English

Would be a plus

• Experience with Apache Spark, Redis
• Experience with AWS S3, Redshift
• Experience in maintaining project documentation
