Middle Business Analyst, Global Media Commerce Company

Our client is a New York-based commercial media company with representative offices around the world that provides access to offers from more than 2000 travel and entertainment enterprises. It also provides reviews of the offered options, a selection with low prices, the ability to confirm the actual cost, a selection of offers based on the user's geo-position, and other parameters. Its service is used by more than 28 million people in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The DataArt specialist will be involved in several projects. One of them is for the improvement of the client's reporting system (metrics, analytics, etc.). Another is related to the construction of a single integrated data system (Data Warehouse). The processes are built according to Agile (SCRUM).

Responsibilities

• Organizing effective interactions between project teams and the customer
• Determining the business requirements of the client and developing possible solutions
• Analyzing and documenting requirements
• Verifying implemented products for compliance with requirements
• Managing requirements
• Participating in planning, resolving disputes, and risk assessment
• Teaching users how to work with the product
• Data analysis

Must have

• 2+ years of experience working as a business analyst
• Basic theoretical knowledge of business analysis and requirements management
• Skill in analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements
• Skill in managing requirements throughout the project, knowledge of the main models of the project's life cycle
• Ability to skillfully convert vague and unstructured information into distinct requirements
• Spoken English
• Experience in data analysis
• Understanding Agile/Scrum

Would be a plus

• Experience in developing drafts of user interfaces
• Business processes modeling, knowledge of notations and methodologies
• RFI/RFP creation
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of Data Warehouse
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting systems
