Technical Game Designer (UE4)

Game development studio 4A Games Ukraine is looking for Technical Game Designer to join our team to take part in development of unannounced multiplatform AAA shooter (PC/Consoles).

 Responsibilities

Technical Game Designer's key responsibility will be to develop new and improve existing game mechanics (e.g. weapons, mechanisms, player movement, interactive objects of the game world) using the Unreal Engine 4: 

• Creating and integrating game mechanics.
• Creating prototypes and constantly improving the gameplay.
• Close collaboration with other departments in development and implementation of game mechanics.
• Development of design and creation of technical documentation.
• Participating in the improvement of the game development processes and toolkit.

 Requirements

• Experience with at least one of the major game engines (UE4/CryEngine/Unity/etc.).
• 1+ years of experience as a game designer or technical designer.
• Ability to describe a concept clearly and in detail, both verbally and in writing. 
• The ability to go through a complete development cycle of game mechanics - from the idea (with full documentation) to the implementation into the game.
• Understanding of the game development cycle and the impact of game mechanics on the development process.
• Understanding of the game mechanics interactions.
• The ability to work in a team and solve conflict situations.
• Self-motivation and self-organization.

Preferences

• Experience with Blueprint.
• Knowledge of SVN, Confluence, Photoshop.
• Released project.
• Experience with consoles. 
• Ability to work with documentation in English. 
• Passion for games.
