Data Analyst

In OLX we are looking for a curious and passionate data driven person, who is at ease with analyzing large volumes of data and transforming it into smart business decisions to fulfill a position of Data Analyst  in OLX Ukraine office. This position will report to the Head of Business Intelligence and Analytics. As Data Analyst you will help OLX businesses make smart decisions based on smart analysis.

What responsibilities will you get when working with us?

As the Data Analyst and the member of the Business Intelligence team you will dive into the world of users’ data and face analytical challenges from various departments across the organization (Monetization, Customer support, Product development, Finance). You will be able to get familiar with the business process and help shape the future of the product, test and validate hypotheses, find product bottlenecks, suggest solutions and see it realized through business performance. This is a starting point of the career path with the ability to choose a dedicated track (Product, Monetization, Data Science, etc) at later stages. 

 What will you need to be successful in this role? 

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, IT
• 2+ years’ demonstrated and relevant experience in Analytics
• Ability to work with unstructured data (often Big Data)
• 2+ years’ experience with SQL
• R/Python programming language
• Aspiration to automation and optimized processes will be a plus 
• Ability to understand and gather complex reporting requirements and develop creative, highly graphical data representations
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to present insights in a concise and clear way
• Full professional proficiency of English
• Understanding of statistical analysis and experience with systems testing A/ B will be a plus
• Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
• Experience in e-commerce, internet projects will be a plus
• Excellent communication, professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
