Optical Design Engineer

Sumix is a leading company in end-face testing equipment for fiber-optic connectors. We are developing opto-electronic devices for fiber-optic connector end-face measurement and visual inspection. We are seeking for talented Metrology engineer to engage in our existing and new coming projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Optical schemes design (objectives, illumination schemes)
• Tolerances calculation/analysis of optical schemes and components
• Analysis/review of calculated optical schemes (prepared by other specialists)
• Drawings and documentation for production preparing (drawings of optical parts and schemes)
• Review of drawings prepared by other specialists
• Communication with optics manufacturers (questions about drawings and finished parts
• Control of received optical parts
• Cooperation with other departments during assembling and adjusting of the device (assembling department, programmers, metrologists)
• Direct involvement in solving problems during assembling and adjusting of the device

Qualification and Skills:

• Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, instrument making industry
• Practical experience – at least 3 year
• Skill to work in team
• Self motivation
• Motivation to train
