About the job 

The ICRC ICT Department is recruiting an Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Specialist based in its Dnipro office. In close cooperation with the team members and line managers, the ICT Specialist will mainly be responsible for installing, maintaining, and managing ICT systems and services, and providing first and second level support to ICT users in the area of responsibility defined by his position.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Independently installs, maintains, repairs and monitors ICT equipment in line with standards
• As a part of the ICT support services handles tickets or escalates them as per agreed workflow
• Ensures existing ICT infrastructure is functional
• Ensures that global/country-level ICT policies and procedures are implemented and followed
• Briefs, advises, and trains end-users and peers on the ICRC's ICT systems
• Provides technical support, advice, briefings and technical trainings to end-users of ICRC's ICT systems
• Drafts and updates technical documentation for ICT installations
• Maintains contacts with local ICT suppliers/providers and follows ICRC logistics procedures
• Ensures ICT inventory is updated regularly and maintains adequate stocks levels

About you

To be successful as an ICT Specialist in the department, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:  

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT, electronics, computer science, telecommunications, or similar field
• Good command (spoken and written) of English
• 3-4 years’ experience in an area of the ICT service catalogue (telecommunications, IT, help desk, etc.)
• Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
