About the job 

For our ICT unit, we are looking for ICT Specialists and ICT Engineers with a specialization in information, communication, and technology. In close cooperation with the team members and line managers, the ICT Specialist will mainly be responsible for installing, maintaining, and managing ICT systems and services, and providing first and second level support to ICT users in the area of responsibility defined by his position.    

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Independently carry out large computer and telecommunication infrastructure projects according to ICRC standards
• Provide technical support and training on ICT-related matters
• Monitor ICT installations and in consultation with the ICT Coordinator, take appropriate measures to guarantee that they are functioning properly, and that policies and procedures are followed
• Independently install, maintain, use, and adapt existing large-scale infrastructure and material
• Test ICT equipment, hardware and software networks and other devices to ensure optimal performance and standard configuration
• Ensure that global/country-level ICT policies and procedures are implemented and followed
• Provide technical support, advice, briefings, and technical trainings to end-users of ICRC's ICT systems
• Draft and update technical documentation for ICT installations
• Maintain contacts with local ICT suppliers/providers and follow ICRC logistics procedures
• Ensure ICT inventory is updated regularly and maintain adequate stocks levels

About you

To be successful in this Roster and Pool recruitment, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:   

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• University degree or equivalent in telecommunications, electronics, computer science or related field
• ICT Management Certification (ITIL), Project Management (PMP) and Microsoft Certification (Fortinet 4 Certification and/or Azure Administrator) is an asset
• Between 3 and 5 years of professional experience in troubleshooting in an area of ICT service catalogue (e.g., workplace services, telecommunications, IT help desk, etc.)
• Good command (written and spoken) of English and Ukrainian
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles.
