    The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 80 countries and has some 18,000 field staff.


    In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence to Ukraine. There are more than 500 ICRC staff working in Kyiv, Sloviansk, Severodonetsk, Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Odesa.

    Customer Service Desk Officer

    The Customer Service Desk ensures that requests are handled efficiently and effectively to meet needs in the field as well plans the purchases for the delegation and ensures the timely and correct execution of orders in the system. He/She manages the stakeholders requirements. He/She facilitates the work of customers and departments by helping them during CDP meetings and ensures the quality of the data.




    • Ensure that internal customers have their needs and requests addressed within a reasonable timeframe, in accordance to ICRC procedures including accurate follow-up and treatment of Supply Requests.
    • Ensures that requester respects financial procedures by reviewing the SR at LOG level and accepting or rejecting the same.
    • Provides requester with updated information regarding the status of purchases.
    • Ensures that goods are received, stored and dispatched according to procedure and reports any problems or discrepancies.
    • Ensures that stock is rotated and picked according to the principles of first-in-first-out and/or first-expired-first-out.
    • Ensures that warehouse space is well utilized and makes recommendations for layout changes.
    • Ensures that goods are properly segregated within the warehouse.
    • Ensures that warehouse regulations are applied.
    • Ensures that there is proper pest control and hygiene in the warehouse.
    • Records information in the logistics IT system.
    • Ensures that bin cards and stock cards are kept up to date.
    • Provides statistics and other reporting.
    • Organizes inventory counts and initiates claim reports.
    • Ensures the regular update of the transport pipeline document, based on the outcome of the weekly meeting with CSD/planner, warehouse responsible, transport manager and senior logistician, taking into account the requirements regarding green light approval by the sub-sites.
    • Ensures necessary administrative work is implemented on time.
    • Knows, applies and complies with all the administrative procedures linked to his work.

    The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.





    Education and professional qualifications

    • Technical degree in logistics, administration or equivalent.
    • Good command of spoken and written English and the local working language.
    • Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software an asset.
    • Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment.
