    The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.

     

     

    The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 80 countries and has some 13,000 field staff.

     

     

    In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence to Ukraine. There are more than 300 ICRC staff working in Kyiv, Sloviansk, Severodonetsk, Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Odesa.

    ECONOMIC SECURITY (EcoSec) SECRETARY

     

    Sloviansk based

     

     

    AIM OF THE POSITION

     

    The role of the Economic Security Secretary is to contribute to the smooth implementation of the Economic Security different scopes of activities. Her/his main responsibility is feed in the program's data base and keep it up to date. She/he acts as a focal point for the beneficiary communication and supports the department's data management, planning, administrative and logistical aspects of the programs.

     

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Performs general secretarial duties independently;
    • Computerizes data related to different EcoSec programs;
    • Scans and selects beneficiary applications in appliance to the program's criteria;
    • Focal point for community feedback and answers to individual beneficiary inquiries;
    • Contributes to the implementation and follow-up of projects (within the department);
    • Translates non-institutional documents (English-Ukrainian-Russian);
    • Supports the department with all administrative and Logistical requirements of activities;
    • Participates to the various reporting/ office duties; for example but not only, daily & weekly reporting, movement plans, Field trips notifications;
    • Drafts and types routine correspondence (English, Russian and Ukrainian).

     

     

    The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.

     

     

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

     

    Education and professional qualifications

     

    • 2 years working experience in a similar field of activity;
    • Very good computer skills (word & excel);
    • Very good representation and communication skills;
    • Good knowledge of spoken and written English;
    • Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures, understand program's components;
    • Previous experience in information management is an asset.

    • Genuine interest to work in humanitarian aid field;
    • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and take initiative;
    • Ability to work under minor supervision;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Assertiveness and enthusiasm;
    • Strong sense of responsibility;
