    The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.



    The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 80 countries and has some 13,000 field staff.



    In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence to Ukraine. There are more than 300 ICRC staff working in Kyiv, Sloviansk, Severodonetsk, Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Odesa.

    Mariupol based





    • To ensure current purchases and petty cash purchase for ICRC operation;
    • To support Logistics department in understanding the national and regional market of Ukraine.





    • Responsible for purchasing procedure from the initial Requisition Order until final delivery;
    • Ensures correct purchasing procedures especially financial limits and Code of Conducts;
    • Follows ICRC procurement procedures;
    • Submits various offers to logistics department and administration;
    • Maintains relations with low level interlocutors (suppliers of field of purchase, other ICRC departments...);
    • Takes part in the selection of suppliers;
    • Carries out prospecting of the market in order to identify new suppliers;
    • Carries out statistics for the unit;
    • Carries out office work for the unit;
    • Provides analytical reports on purchases.



    The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.





    Education and professional qualifications


    • Secondary education and training in relevant field (secretariat, log...)
    • 1 year work experience in a similar field
    • Good knowledge of English
    • Good computer skills (Word and Excel)
    • Negotiation experience
